Fundamentals of Multipanels

The MULTIPANEL is a pivotal and frequently utilized (especially in projects with complex work items) mechanism for data input within GUBUS. Information entered into the multipanel, either manually or via the built-in bot, is directly transferred to workfeeds.

Contrary to...

... the workfeed's fluid working area, the area of a multipanel is consistently static, typically appearing empty, filled momentarily for input, and is invariably cleared after the data has been read.

Multipanels with Multiple Fields

A multipanel can be single-lined (containing only one relevant entry due to workflow), or multi-lined(where multiple items are input simultaneously, for instance - during production or supply events).

Below, you can observe a single-lined multipanel with multiple fields. Astonishing, isn't it?

It features a run button, three data validations, a numeric input for deposit, and a string inputfield for comments. It's as straightforward as it gets!

Data Validations in Multipanels

Data validation in Google Sheets is not as developers typically perceive it... While at its core, it remains a form of data validation, it is significantly enhanced with potent, user-friendly front-end logic, making it incredibly convenient to use - it deserves a unique name. Let's refer to it asdivine suggestions.

Data validation provides values from ranges, verifies calendar dates existence, performs numbers and strings comparisons, checkboxes(which are essentially data validations) and many more remarkable features. If you are not familiar with data validation in Spreadsheets - you are likely underestimating it. But now, you've encountered GUBUS.

One data validation (order-no) is linked to a range in a workfeed, hence it is dynamic and changes with workfeed evaluation. The other two data validations consistently suggest the same commands from a static data range.

Single-Field Multipanel

On rare occasions, a multipanel may appear as a single-field multipanel. This typically occurs when there is a need to trigger some custom logic or a specific API integration. For instance, the example above triggers an API integration with the OpenCart project to retrieve all sales for a chosen date.

Checkboxes in Multipanels

Checkboxes serve as a simple mechanism to toggle between on/off states. As illustrated below, a multi-line multipanel for a hotel project includes a checkbox data validation that manages additional bed logic.

Upon being read, checkboxes are automatically reset by GUBUS.

Advanced Formulas in Multipanels

Below, you can observe a multi-line multipanel that allows simultaneous entry of two lines.

The image above provides an estimation of the number of clicks required to fill in booking information. The date, room number, and additional bed details can be entered with a single click thanks to data validation. The number of nights and prices are automatically calculated and filled in using formulas. The only manual input required from the manager is the phone number and the name.

While this may be a common occurrence in other ERP-CRM systems, we are confident that GUBUS can provide even HIGHER levels of automation, BETTER functionality, MORE flexibility, and LOWER costs, all while maintaining an extremely LOW usage rate of about 5-20 US DOLLARS A MONTH FOR EVERYTHING!

Perhaps now is the ideal time to cease reading and allow us to implement GUBUS in your project?
